Aliyan Razzak, 22, of Mount Street, Redditch, was sentenced to 32 months for one count of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs - heroin and 32 months for one count of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs – crack cocaine, to run concurrently.
The pair were arrested and charged following warrants targeting the ‘Madz’ county line that were carried out by officers in Redditch and our colleagues in West Midlands Police in July 2024.
A county line refers to the phone(s) or deal line that drug dealers use to sell their drugs into the area.
Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Redditch, Rich Field, said: “We are pleased to get these results at court for these two drug dealers who operated the Madz county line in Redditch, selling class A drugs into our community.
“Working together with our colleagues at West Midlands Police, we targeted addresses and individuals in raids last July aimed at stopping their dealing which has a harmful impact on the public we are here to protect and serve.
“Drug dealers prey on some of the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and antisocial behaviour.
“We will not cease in our ongoing efforts to drive drug dealers and all the harm they cause away from our town.”
