Appeal following fatal collision in Shropshire

We are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision on the A442 yesterday afternoon (15 June).

The collision happened around 3:20pm near Quatt, when a white Ford Transit van collided with a silver Mercedes C220.

The passenger from the Mercedes, a woman in her 90s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving whilst being impaired.

We’d like to hear from anyone who saw, or who has dashcam footage, of the collision itself or either of the vehicles in the minutes before it.
