Police were called at around 12.10pm today (20 June) to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Upper Tything*, in Worcester.
A man, aged 47, has sustained injuries thought to be life changing but not life threatening and has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention, driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He is currently in custody.

The road was closed but has now re-opened.
