Did you witness an assault in Worcester?

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Sunday (4 May) in Worcester City Centre.

A teenage boy was approached at around 7.30pm close to Barclay’s Bank on Church Street by two young women who were verbally abusive and threw food at him.

Around 10 minutes later, he encountered the two young women again outside Spectrum Optica who continued to be verbally abusive whilst chasing the boy and pushing two of his friends.

Police are treating the crime as a hate crime due to the abusive remarks that were made.
