A man has been arrested after we received a report of a rape in Worcester around 9.30pm yesterday (Friday 31 October).
Officers were called to Windermere Drive last night following a report that a woman in her 30s had been raped.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody.
Inspector Natalie Arrowsmith from Worcester’s Crime and Vulnerability team said: “We are pleased to have quickly identified an individual and bring him into custody for further enquiries.
“The victim will continue to be supported by specially trained officers and will receive the necessary care.
“I would like to stress that we do not believe there to be a wider risk to the public.
“If you do have any information which you think could be useful to our investigation please get in contact by emailing [email protected].”
