Worcester man banned from shops for three years

A nuisance Worcester man has been banned from shops and ordered to behave in the city centre for three years.

Sam White, 19, of no fixed abode was given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday (3 October).

The CBO follows convictions for multiple thefts within Worcester city centre, in particular Tesco Express, Foregate Street as well as behaved in a disorderly manner, being abusive, threatening to shop staff and causing significant alarm and fear to members of the public. 

White was handed the CBO for three years, which prohibits him from: -

1.Entering Tesco Express, Foregate Street, Worcester, or being in the area directly outside as defined in a mapped area 

2.Entering Dixy Chicken, Comberton Hill, Kidderminster

3.Entering Co-op, Worcester Road, Malvern

4.Refusing to leave an area or premises when asked by someone who has authority to do so

5.Behaving in a manner that causes a nuisance in the community within Worcester city centre

Police Sergeant Sarah England, of Worcester city centre team, said: “We are pleased the court has granted a CBO against White whose antisocial behaviour and thefts have impacted shops and businesses in the city and further afield, and caused alarm and distress to members of the public.
