Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was found in Hereford with unexplained injuries in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 16 August).
At around 3.06am officers were called to Victoria Bridge, after a man aged in his 20s, was found with injuries to hand and neck.
He was taken to hospital for further treatment, and the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Enquiries show that the man has been at the location between 10pm Saturday (15 August) to 3am this morning (16 August). Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information to help with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Edward Jones said: “Police were called by the ambulance service to Victoria Bridge early this morning, where a man was found with injuries to his hand and neck.
“Our enquiries have established that the man has been in this area between the hours of 10pm and 3am, and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, and may have information that could assist our investigation.
“We are working to establish how the man sustained these injuries and are keeping an open mind at this time. Thankfully, the injuries are not believed to be life threatening, and he remains in hospital in a stable condition.
“If you have any information that could help with our enquiries, please get in touch with police.”
