A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman at an address on Brick Kiln Street in Evesham.
Emergency services attended the address around 8.40pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 14 January) and a 69-year-old woman was sadly found dead.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Lougher from the Major Investigation Unit said: “As the local community hear of this incident it will no doubt bring shock and concern and I would like to offer my reassurance that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.“We are in the very early stages of our investigation and local residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days as officers carry out enquiries and continue to establish the circumstances of her death.”
