The body, of Brody Leach, has sadly been recovered from the River Severn in Shrewsbury in the early hours of this morning (27 June).
Brody, aged 22, was last seen yesterday (26 June) after it was reported he got into difficulty in the water. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Brody has been formally identified by his family and his next of kin have been made aware. Our thoughts are with them, and we ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
The area around the riverside where searches were taking place, has now reopened. Reassurance patrols will continue in the area today.
