We are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured following an incident in Hereford last night (Sunday 24 May).
Police were called to Kernal Road at around 11.40pm, where officers found a man in his 20s with stab wounds.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Inspector Kate Collett said: “We are carrying out enquiries after a man suffered serious injuries during an incident in Hereford last night, and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information.
“We appreciate incidents of this nature can cause concern within the local community, but I would like to reassure residents that officers are conducting a thorough investigation to establish exactly what happened.
“There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days while enquiries are ongoing, and I would encourage anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information to contact us.”
