Police are currently dealing with a stabbing on Woodbury Road in Kidderminster.
A man in his twenties has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is in a stable condition.
Detective Inspector Dave Knight said: “We are working hard to locate the person or people responsible, and our communities can expect to see a heightened police presence in the area.
“At this stage, we believe the suspect is known to the victim and it was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider community.
“The incident did not take place on school premises and is not connected to the nearby primary school, but officers are offering reassurance to staff and pupils.”
We will provide more information as soon as we are able to do so.
