West Mercia Police has launched an investigation into non-recent sex offences at a former children’s home in Alvechurch.
It is reported that a teenage boy was physically and sexually assaulted, by male staff members at Forhill House on Lea End Lane. The offences took place between 1970 and 1985.
Detective Constable Caitlin Allen said: “We commend the victim in coming forward, and we will carry out a full and thorough investigation to establish what happened.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the abuse or have information to assist with our enquiries to please get in touch. We are keen to hear from anyone who resided at or was involved with the children’s home in the 1970s or early 1980s.
“These people are now likely to be in their 50s or 60s. Please be assured that you will be supported.”
Please contact DC Caitlin Allen via email: [email protected] if you can assist with enquiries.
