Completion of recruitment process
If you successfully complete the recruitment process, you will be offered to start as a Special Constable. You will then receive professional police training and be supported with development opportunities throughout your career.
Once you have fully completed all stages of the recruitment process, the Special Constabulary Project Team will contact you directly.
You will be provided with training dates in order for you to confirm which training intake you will be available to attend.
Once you have confirmed a suitable start date, you will be provided with an offer of appointment.
Following this, you will then be contacted by the training team.
Please note that you will be required to attend training at the following locations depending on your preferred policing area.
Worcester: West Mercia Police HQ, Hindlip, Worcester WR3 8SP
Telford: Wellington Police Station, Victoria Avenue, Wellington, Telford TF1 1LQ
The importance of attending the training
Attendance is critical to the achievement of the training objectives.
It is essential that you are committed to attend every training session as failure to do so could result in you not receiving the standard of training needed to be carry out the role of Special Constable effectively and safely which therefore means you will not be attested and released to your posting area.
Although not practical, while completing the training course it is the trainers' discretion to authorise you time off dependent on your circumstances.
