West Mercia Police have been made aware that fraudsters claiming to be from Scotland Yard are pretending to be police officers in an attempt to defraud people in a scam known as ‘Courier Fraud’. In some previous cases there have been thousands of pounds successfully taken from the elderly and vulnerable residents by criminals pretending to be police officers.
