Headless Cross and Oakenshaw

Issue: Anti-Social Behaviour

This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagements with partners.

We will:
-Deal robustly with any persons committing anti-social behaviour, working together with our partners and making use of available legislation.
-Ensure Officers are regularly visible in areas of concern & ASB hotspots, such as Morton Stanley Park.

We did July 2026 -
-High visibility patrols have been conducted throughout the month of July
- Collaborative work with partner agencies which is on-going to reduce the ASB

We did August 2026 -
-SNT officers in collaboration with partner agencies have worked with local businesses that had an impact on residents, to alleviate concerns

Issue: Drug use & supply

This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagement with partners.

We will:
-Deal proactively with drug use & supply in Headless Cross & Oakenshaw, with a particular focus on working with partners to address the root causes of drug use in the community.

We did July 2026 -
- Gathering of further intelligence for development
- Holding regular meetings with the residents to discuss on-going concerns

We did August 2026 -
- Collaborative work on-going with partner agencies, to help those in the community at risk
- Utilisation of stop search powers in key areas

Issue: Speeding
This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, recorded data and engagement with partners.

We will:
-Review data and community concerns, working together with partners to be visible on our roads.
-Provide education as well as proactive enforcement with available tools, such as TruCAM.

We did July 2026 -
- Regular speed enforcement has taken place over the month with relevant offences reported
- PACT meeting attended with speeding concerns raised and further locations identified

We did August 2026 -
- Continuation of enforcement at key locations of concern
