Your Safer Neighbourhood Team
Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers, special constables, police community support officers and volunteers, supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on preventing and reducing crime, protecting the vulnerable and providing reassurance across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Worcestershire.

Issue: Theft from retail premises
You said: This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on resident feedback, crime data, and ongoing local concerns.Action taken:
We will:
- Increase patrols of key areas of concern, including Stourport Town Centre and outlying retail premises
- Conduct police surgeries within the key areas area to encourage reporting and offer reassurance.
- Utilise NHM and other reporting mechanisms to seek public assistance in pursuing offenders.
- Plan and execute targeted operations to tackle shop lifters.
- Deal robustly with people committing shop theft, making use of available legislation to divert and prosecute identified offenders.Update October 2026
We did:
- A wanted female was located and detained in Stourport-on-Severn on a recall to prison warrant. Further enquiries identified her involvement in several shop theft offences, for which she was subsequently arrested.
- A prolific Stourport Town Centre shoplifter was arrested and remanded in custody on 9th October and sentenced to 6 weeks imprisonment
- High-vis patrols continue in Stourport Town Centre and outlying retails premises. -

We will:
-Increase patrols of key areas of concern, including the High Street, Walshes estate, The Pearls and Canal/Riverside.
-Utilise NHM and other reporting mechanisms to seek public assistance in pursuing offenders.
-Plan and execute targeted road safety operations.
-Deal robustly with people committing anti-social behaviour, making use of available legislation to divert and prosecute identified offenders.
-Conduct police surgeries within the key areas area to encourage reporting and offer reassurance.Update October 2026
We did:
- A vehicle was seized for no insurance on Vale Road.
- Operation Forefront - As a result, one e-scooter and one Sur-Ron motorcycle were seized. Both riders were subsequently reported for relevant driving offences. A drone was deployed and proved to be highly effective in supporting the operation it focussed on various locations across Stourport and the Walshes estate whereby no issues were identified.
- Intelligence was gathered in relation to persons involved in these activities.
