Winyates and Matchborough

Issue: Anti-Social Behaviour

This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagements with partners.

We will:
-Deal robustly with any persons committing anti-social behaviour, working together with our partners and making use of available legislation.
-Ensure Officers are regularly visible in areas of concern & ASB hotspots, such as the Winyates Centre.

We did : Numerous visits to youth who have been causing ASB issues in the areas - formal letters have followed with advice to parents too.

We did:
-Regular patrols of Winyates and Matchborough Centre's.
- A number of stop searches for those suspected of shop lifting and drug use.

Issue: Shop Thefts

This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagements with partners.

We will:
-Deal robustly with shoplifting in the local area, and target repeat offenders so that local businesses can have trust and confidence in their Police service.

We will:

2 prolific shoplifters further prosecuted for further offences

Issue: Drug use & supply

This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on community feedback, crime data and engagement with partners.

We will:
-Deal proactively with drug use & supply within Winyates and Matchborough, with a particular focus on working with partners to address the root causes of drug use in the community.

We did: Multi agency meeting on 30th July with outreach workers (Maggs and Cranstaun) who will be targeting drug users around the area to offer support
