To be visible, accessible and responsive

Maintaining a strong presence across our communities through high-visibility patrols, targeted operations and regular engagement opportunities in areas identified through community concerns, crime patterns and local intelligence.
These patrols are designed not only to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour but also to provide opportunities for residents to speak with us directly about issues affecting their community.
Community engagement remains a priority. Through police surgeries, Mobile Police Stations, community meetings and local events, we are committed to listening to your concerns and working collaboratively with residents, businesses and partner agencies to tackle local issues.
We will continue to advertise and host police surgeries and mobile police stations to provide an opportunity for residents to meet us in an informal setting. These sessions allow you to discuss concerns, report ongoing issues, seek crime prevention advice and find out more about the work we do.
We will provide regular updates on social media, Neighbourhood Matters and local meetings, we will continue to share information about policing activity, community issues, ongoing initiatives and successful outcomes.

Priority 2
Doseley area has been identified as a neighbourhood priority due to ongoing anti-social behaviour and the increased demand being placed on police resources. Local residents have raised concerns regarding persistent incidents that are affecting community.
Key concerns include:
• Reports of anti-social behaviour in public spaces.
• Increased calls for service and police demand.
• Ongoing complaints from local residents.
• Repeat incidents at the locations.
• Community concerns regarding nuisance behaviour.

This priority supports the West Mercia Police objectives of:
• Cutting Crime by addressing anti-social behaviour and associated offending that impacts local communities.
• Policing with the Community through visible patrols and proactive engagement with residents and partners.
• Supporting Victims and Witnesses by ensuring those affected are listened to, supported and kept updated where appropriate.
• Maximising Resources through problem-solving and partnership approaches aimed at reducing repeat demand.

Priority 3
Speeding Concerns in Horsehay
Old Park Road has been identified as a local priority following ongoing reports from residents regarding excessive vehicle speeds and road safety concerns. For continued monitoring and enforcement activity to improve road safety and reduce the risk of collisions.

This priority supports the West Mercia Police objectives of:
• Cutting Crime by addressing road safety offences and promoting safer driver behaviour.
• Policing with the Community through responding to concerns raised by local residents and providing visible enforcement activity.
• Supporting the community be proactively reducing the risk of collisions and harm on the road network.
• Maximising Resources through targeted deployments based on community concerns and intelligence-led activity.
