Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers, special constables, police community support officers and volunteers, supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on preventing and reducing crime, protecting the vulnerable and providing reassurance across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Worcestershire.

Drug Use & Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
Action taken:
*1. High-Visibility Patrols and Targeted Enforcement - Police will conduct regular high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot locations to deter anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity. Officers will use intelligence-led patrol plans, conduct stop searches where appropriate and take enforcement action against those involved in criminality.
*2. Partnership Working with Local Agencies - Police will work alongside local authorities, housing providers, schools, youth services and community organisations to identify the root causes of ASB and drug use. Joint problem-solving approaches will be used to support vulnerable individuals and prevent repeat offending.
*3. Community Engagement and Intelligence Gathering - Neighbourhood officers will engage with residents, businesses and community groups to gather information about local concerns. Regular Police surgeries and public surveys will encourage residents to share intelligence, helping police identify offenders and take positive action to improve the area.
*Expected Outcome: Reduction in reports of anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity.

Priority:
Speeding and Anti-Social Driving (ASD)
Action taken:
*1. Targeted Speed Enforcement and Traffic Operations - Police will carry out regular speed enforcement operations in identified hotspot locations using speed detection equipment (TruCam) and patrol vehicles. Offenders will be dealt with through education, warnings, fixed penalty notices or prosecution where appropriate. This will help to improve road safety and deter dangerous driving.
*2. High-Visibility Patrols in Problem Areas - Neighbourhood and Roads Policing officers will conduct targeted patrols in areas affected by speeding, excessive noise, racing, wheel-spinning and other anti-social driving behaviours. These patrols will be intelligence-led and focused on times when issues are most prevalent.
*3. Community Engagement and Information Gathering - Police will work closely with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to identify concerns and gather intelligence regarding offending vehicles and individuals. Community reports will help direct enforcement activity, while engagement events will provide opportunities to educate drivers and promote safer road use.
*Expected Outcome: Reduced incidents of speeding and anti-social driving, meaning improved road safety.

Dishonesty Offences and Acquisitive Crime (Theft, Burglary, Robbery, etc.)
Action taken:
*1. Targeted Patrols and Proactive Offender Management - Police will conduct targeted patrols in areas affected by theft, burglary and robbery. Officers will use local intelligence to identify repeat offenders, carry out proactive operations and take positive action against those responsible for acquisitive crime.
*2. Crime Prevention and Community Reassurance - Neighbourhood officers will provide crime prevention advice to residents and businesses, promoting measures such as property marking, vehicle security, CCTV advice and home security improvements. Engagement events and targeted campaigns will help reduce opportunities for offending and increase public awareness.
*3. Partnership Working and Intelligence Gathering - Police will work closely with partner agencies, retailers, businesses, housing providers and local communities to identify crime trends, gather intelligence and disrupt offenders. Community information and reporting will be used to direct enforcement activity and support investigations.
*Expected Outcome: Reduced levels of theft, burglary and robbery. Increased detection opportunities and greater public awareness of target hardening.
