The Disability Independent Advisory Group is made up of trusted individuals of all ages and backgrounds who scrutinise and influence the activities and policies of West Mercia Police. The group offers specialist, impartial advice and guidance to the police on a range of key issues and the effects on disabled communities, and is made up of members of the public who meet regularly to discuss hot topics in policing
The aim of the group is:
To provide advice and constructive criticism to the forces, whilst remaining sensitive to the needs of the whole community
To provide independent advice to West Mercia Police, to help recognise diverse needs of the communities served and to deliver a fair and impartial service that secures greater trust and confidence.
The Disability Independent Advisory Group is now recruiting new members in your community to help shape and impact local policing. All we ask is that you have an interest in policing, can volunteer for a few hours every couple of months and would like to share your opinions and advice on policing matters.
